It's been a while since I last blogged. A long long while! Life has just been so so busy. A lot has changed the kids are now at college, I left my job and have gone self employed. Life is good!
This corona virus has shaken the nation, we are in completely unchartered waters. The disease itself can affect anyone and effect everyone in some way. I have had a friend in hospital with it, she was really really ill and went on to get sepsis pneumonia. Another friends son who is a nurse got it...luckily he didnt get it too badly and has recovered is back at work now.
It has brought the best out in a lot of people which is what I am choosing to focus on...I think it's made everyone realise how lucky we are....not just our Doctors and Nurses, our Police and Fire staff that are on the front line fighting this battle but the people backing them up the cleaners, the caterers, the refuse staff that get rid of the waste...the list goes on and on. It has shown how we all have an impact on each other. It has shown how precious life is. For that I am grateful.
On a personal, selfish note I am obviously worried for my family, friends and neighbours (well for everyone) but am enjoying the slower pace of life. I am working 3 days a week so still have some normality but on the off duty time I am loving spending time in my craft room. I am loving my husband working from home...he normally drives thousands of miles a week...his job takes him to Dublin, Basingstoke, various places in Scotland and we live in the Midlands. The furthest he is going at the moment is to his office on the driveway (caravan). I am loving having our children home, we've set up a table in the hallway with their laptops etc on and tried to recreate some sort of routine similar to the school day. The weather is beautiful.
Anyway....on the craft side of things Ive been challenging myself to use up a lot of stash thats been gathering dust, I've followed you tube tutorials and now decided to look for card challenges.......
